Carl is currently the SVP of Talent Consulting  at TalentRISE, an Inc 5000 honored talent management consulting and retained executive search firm founded in 2008. Based in Chicago with a national list of clients ranging from startup to global organizations, TalentRISE provides custom talent consulting and executive search solutions to help employers elevate business performance, through talent.  TalentRise is part of the Aleron Inc., a global workforce solutions company.  Prior to joining TalentRISE, Carl had previously founded Tiburon Group in 1996, which was sold to a private equity backed HR consultancy, Capital H Group in 2004 where he led the firms high volume outsourced recruiting (RPO) and talent consulting practices. Carl is a graduate of Loyola University with a B.S. degree in Organizational Psychology. He is a passionate writer, speaker and expert panel facilitator at industry events, trade shows and corporate meetings. Carl’s thought leadership focuses on topics relevant to improving business performance through talent, HR technology leading trends, and improving candidate experience through innovation and sharing best practices. In his off hours, Carl’s passion for helping employers and talent perform effectively extends to his volunteer, committee and advisory board work with ATAP Global, HRMAC, Chicago SHRM, STAR Chicago, Upwardly Global and APL NextEd.

As Senior Director of Experienced Hire Recruitment for KPMG’s US Advisory Practice, since 2010 John has been responsible for executing against the firm’s aggressive growth priorities and strategic business needs through talent sourcing and acquisition.  Additionally, John is a leader on KPMG’s Acquisition team with experience in over 15 domestic and international acquisitions. He brings subject matter expertise in the following areas of Talent Acquisition to KPMG’s Human Capital organization:  strategy, process, operations, inclusion & diversity, contingent self-sourcing, domestic & international RPO, ATS & contingent system implementation, financials, marketing, branding and social media.  

 

Renee Robideau, Sr. Manager of Global TA - Land O’Lakes, Inc.
Renee Robideau is an international Human Resources professional with twenty-five years of experience focused on global talent acquisition and global mobility.  She has developed innovative & thoughtful global programs to accommodate agile business requirements.  She has a track record for collaborating effectively across organizational stakeholders to achieve desired business and employee focused results. Presently with Land O’ Lakes, she is the Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition.  Land O’ Lakes has already introduced and provided access to the external gig economy to their managers.  They are now working to develop their approach to internal gigs to become more agile at leveraging talent across the company.


 

Wade Forbes, Gig Worker - RedTale Communications 
Wade began independent consulting in the spring of 2017, after spending nearly 15 years in the intelligence community and DoD as a traditional defense contractor. After hearing from clients that they were consistently overwhelmed with information and too busy to read, Wade decided it was time to draw upon his artistic skills and create visuals that were easy to digest and understand. This transition was made easier by aligning himself with MBO Partners to help him arrange his business relationships and get paid on time. Continuing to grow relationships in the public and private sectors by surrounding himself with other independents, Wade remains focused on learning new techniques and approaches to his work while applying his years of experience and skill. Today, Wade helps to bring conversations to life and create art for the intelligence community, non-profits, military, commercial businesses, religious organizations, and many more. Wade firmly believes that the benefits of seeing your ideas and conversations come to life are endless, and he is learning more with each opportunity session - becoming a more empathetic and trustworthy listener by being silent for hours at a time in large groups.
