Jordan L. Matthis, Associate in the Chicago office - Gordon & Rees
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Ms. Matthis was an Assistant State’s Attorney in both the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau and Civil Actions Bureau of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant State’s Attorney, she prosecuted criminal misdemeanors and defended Cook County against civil rights, labor and employment, and medical malpractice claims. Ms. Matthis has extensive litigation experience and has served as lead trial counsel in over 100 bench trials and in 14 jury trials taken to verdict. Ms. Matthis earned her J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law where she served as a Legal Research and Writing and Trial Advocacy Teaching Assistant. She also served as a Member and Assistant Coach of the Mock Trial Team.
