Nominees may come from Talent Acquisition Service-Providers. Currently leads a large national or global function and has direct oversight for Talent Acquisition initiatives that have material/quantified impact on the business of his/her company. He/she will also have created, applied or advanced ideas and actions that benefit the overall Talent Acquisition community.
2018 Recipient: Paul Abrahms, Corporate Vice President, Talent Acquisition - Huron
Paul joined Huron in 2011 to rebuild the talent acquisition organization. His team deploys best in class recruiting strategies that have transformed and enhanced the talent acquisition function. Huron’s 40-person talent acquisition team includes; recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators who recruit 650-750 new hires annually. He is responsible for developing a global delivery model that supports campus, experienced, and executive recruiting. Over the past 25 years, Paul has become a subject matter expert in recruitment strategy and delivery. Prior to Huron, he led the recruiting function for CCC Information Services, and previously served in talent acquisition leadership positions at; ADP, Deloitte, Inforte Corporation, JPMorgan Chase, and eLoyalty. He began his recruiting career in retained search.

Leads overall Talent Acquisition for a mid-sized or small company. Will have used his//her resourcefulness and scrappiness to achieve stellar results that are best-in-class without the benefit of a big brand or significant recruiting investment.

Chicago native and DePaul Alum, Crystal has spent the last 22 years changing the game in Talent Acquisition. Crystal has a broad background in talent acquisition at all job levels that spans from Agency to Corporate; in industries like Technology, CPG, Professional Services, Telecom and Distribution. She has a successful track record building company’s recruitment infrastructure, including process, teams, systems and employment brands from the ground up. She has helped many companies struggling to scale in today’s competitive and always changing talent marketplace. Crystal considers herself a change agent who is passionate about solving corporate challenges with real world talent strategy. Today Crystal leads her newly built Talent Acquisition function at SAC Wireless, a Telecommunications Service company that is growing rapidly to support all the major wireless carriers’ ability to take the world to 5G networks!
